Views of the World: videos provide glimpses of exchange students’ lives

What are the daily routines – or party pieces – of Nordplus students? What kinds of thoughts do intercultural encounters raise? How does a student feel at the end of an Erasmus work placement? Find out by clicking on Views of the World – “Minuutteja maailmalta” –, a series of videos produced by CIMO, with stories shot by exchange students abroad.

The video project, launched at the beginning of 2013, is now ready to be viewed on CIMO’s YouTube channel. The first video was published on 13 September, followed by a new clip every Friday until mid-November.

As the title promises, Views of the World provides short and true-to-life glimpses of student life abroad. The videos in the first series include Finnish Erasmus students’ and interns’ experiences in Britain, the Czech Republic, Germany, Spain and Turkey and a Nordplus student’s experiences in Sweden. In future, the series will also feature videos of other international options.

Views of the World is intended most of all to young people using CIMO’s web services and to those interested in experiences and stories on internationalisation. The videos seek to encourage others, too, to venture abroad, so they can be freely used and broadcast during lessons and events with an international theme.
