CIMO awards and administers these scholarships to students or recent graduates (at least 2 years´ studies, but maximum one year since graduation) studying e.g. economics and business administration or technology in universities or polytechnics. Also students of other faculties are welcome to apply, however a genuine interest in helping Finnish companies is needed to ensure a successful traineeship.

The applicants should have experience in office work and/or customer service and good skills in MS office and Internet search engines. Previous international educational or work experience in the target market and interest in the local business are considered as advantage.

Fluency in Swedish, Danish or Norwegian is needed. Fluent English (Finpro's corporate language) is a must. As the clients are Finnish companies, the trainee should also manage Finnish fluently. Open mind, energetic and active mindset empower a successful training period.
