Brief Description:

The aim of the project is to improve the understanding of the linkage between human rights and sustainable development and to apply multidisciplinary approaches to development process in various legal, societal, environmental and spatial contexts. The key activities are teacher exchange, student exchange, intensive course and a dissemination event.

Brief Description of the Intensive Course(s):

The theme of the intensive course will be Human Rights and Governance of Natural Resources. It will be arranged at University of Dar Es Salaam in October 2014. Approximately 8 teachers and 34 students will participate for the course. In addition to lectures, the course will consist of group discussions.

Brief Description of Possible Dissemination Measures:

The dissemination seminar will be during the last day of the intensive course. It aims to disseminate information about the topic beyond the participant in the project. It will be targeted at students, teachers and staff of different project-related fields of the study at Dar Es Salaam, Zanzibar and other universities in Tanzania, Institutional contacts of the partner universities and Nordic embassies in Tanzania.
