Brief Description:

The Namibian Maritime and Fisheries Institute (NAMFI) and the Polytechnic of Namibia (POLY) are in cooperation agreement with the Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (SAMK) to collaborate on the joint promotion of education, development and enhancement of Maritime education-based curricula, programmes, educational and administrative processes as well as on building the capacity of the educational and administrative staff through sustainable structures and training initiatives, to be presented at the Polytechnic and NAMFI, with the view of promoting the creation and preservation of sustainable career opportunities in the maritime field. The cooperation and collaboration between the Parties pursuant to this Agreement is called the MARIBIA project. The cooperation agreement is coordinated by SAMK.
