One of the main tasks of the Finnish National Agency for Education is to promote international cooperation and mobility in Finnish society with specific emphasis on education, training, employment and young people.

A key tool in this are the international mobility and cooperation programmes, which are managed and developed by us.

We work as the national agency for the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme and for the Nordic Nordplus programmes.

We are also in charge of implementing a number of nationally-funded programmes of collaboration in higher education. An important segment of these are programmes funded from the appropriations of development cooperation.

EDUFI also administers a number of different scholarship programmes.

At universities outside Finland we promote Finnish language and culture by supporting Finnish studies in a variety of ways.
