Intensive courses

FIRST networks can organise intensive courses, which are short study periods shared by the institutions. The course contents are jointly planned, and participating students and teachers come from partner institutions. Intensive courses last for a minimum of one week, and they are always held in Russia.

Intensive courses are recognised as part of the students’ degrees. The participants must be equally from Finland and Russia.

FIRST support to an intensive course is intended to cover

  • organisational costs (including premises and materials)
  • participants’ travel and subsistence costs.

Salary fees are not eligible costs in the FIRST Programme.

NB! An intensive course can be part of the mobility activities in the FIRST network. However, the FIRST network must also include student and/or teacher mobility.
