Most of the offers are suitable for engineering students at universities, but depending of the year, also students of Science or Economics and Business Administration can find suitable offers. Every year there are also 10-20 offers at the German IAESTE Local Committees. These offers are especially meant for students of German language.

Accommodation and summer reception is organized for the trainees in the country of destination.

IAESTE-employers are paying the trainees a salary that covers living costs in the country of destination. CIMO is not paying a grant for IAESTE-trainees.

IAESTE as an organization

Since it was founded in 1948, IAESTE has exchanged more than 330 000 students and has developed into a vibrant and inspirational network of over 80 countries. IAESTE aims to operate a high quality practical training exchange programme in order to enhance technical and professional development and to promote international understanding and goodwill amongst Students, Academic Institutions, Employers and the wider community.

IAESTE-training is reciprocal: the Finnish employers offer placements for incoming trainees and we exchange them to placements in other countries that we open for Finnish applicants. Each year about 60-70 trainees are coming to Finland.
